Our strength programs are open to any and all athletes - you do not have to be a wrestler to participate.

Monday and Thursdays

Limited to 25 kids

*Available for boys and girls entering grades 3-9 in 2024 $150


The SHWA Strong program promotes a lifetime of healthy habits and strong kids inside and out! Our strength training program is open to all children - not just wrestlers.

  • Physical Literacy - Squatting, Jumping, Rotation, Pushing, Pulling, Core Stability

  • Total body training for healthy bodies and better athletes

  • Light resistance and body weight training

  • Strength

  • Power

  • Endurance

  • Mental Toughness

  • Weekly wellness education topics including sleep, nutrition, lifelong health

Baseline testing, a training log, and final testing will allow kids to see their progress and gain confidence.

SMALL GROUP STRENGTH TRAINING

June 17 - August 9
Boys and Girls grades 3-9
Groups of 4-10
Monday, Tuesday, Friday mornings except when the facility is being used for a day camp in which case we will meet in the afternoon.
$600

An 8 week, 3x/week program for serious athletes who want to learn proper strength training technique, get stronger and be more explosive. Athletes will track their progress and be proud of their before and after results.

The program is created and directed by All-American wrestler Matt Kocher and is based off of his 13 years of experience with the University of Pittsburgh’s strength program.
